Hello and welcome to The Vegaquarium! I started this blog in June 2012 so I could share my favourite food and recipes, because food is for sharing. (Sorry Joey’s of the world.)

Why vegaquarium? It was all down to a magic little lady who served me in Asda one day, who said when I told her that I was a vegetarian that ate fish;

“That means you are a vegaquarium dear, like me.”

And the name stuck. So forget that horrid word “Pescatarian”, which makes me sound like even more pesky than I already am when I turn up at social events and throw them the veggie card.

I hope you enjoy it here and please let me know if you try any of the recipes, I love it when you do!

    1. My father is from Poland and Mother from Scotland I got the Polish name, Marek, my brother the more ordinary one David.

      You have a lovely and unique name and take a great picture, the camera loves you. I am not phtogenic at all and when I smile it only makes the photo worse.

      I am really enjoying your blog. You seem very upbeat and it appears you love to live life. Keep that attitude and it will serve you well.

    1. Aw thank you! I really look forward to reading it, you’ll soon get used to taking lots of photos of your food before you can actually eat it. What sort of food will you be cooking? Make sure you let me know when it is up and running.
      Haha a lot of people say this… He does live up to his name though, he eats like a pig!
