Smile 23/10

Because who doesn’t like bubbles

Today’s smile- 12/10/12

I found this article on the daily mail today and it definitely made me smile. Although not as much as the glass of wine in my hand right now and the fact it is Friday…

If you haven’t seen this already, it is a time lapse of pictures taken by a father, Ian, of his son, Cory’s face everyday for his whole 21 years of existence so far. Ian’s dedication to the cause meant some days he would drive to wherever Cory was just to get the picture for the day.

It’s pretty cool so have a look and have a lovely weekend!

Americans love a good holiday and celebration. And to be honest so do I!
Apparently the month of October is the month of Columbus Day, Halloween, Filipino American History Month, National Dental Hygiene Month, National Popcorn Poppin’ Month and… Vegetarian awareness month!! This might not make you smile as much as a vegetarian like me would. But this article on The Dallas Observer blog is full of funny ways to celebrate this wonderful, yet slightly obscure, awareness month.

My personal favourite is this one:

6. Plant a vegetable garden and try not to catch and grill the inevitable rabbits who come to pillage it.

ASAD- 08/10/12

Firstly, I am aware that A Smile A Day turned into an acronym spells SAD, which is the exact oposite of the point of these posts. But I’ll go with the “comic irony” excuse.

Todays Smile is a product which seems perfect for these dreary monday mornings. It is called The Ostrich Pillow. When consciousness gets too much for you, crawl into this cave of warmth and darkness and escape to the world of sleep. You might look a bit like a dinosaur, or a crazy person, but I think it’s an amazing idea! Love it.

Check out the website and where to buy your own Ostrich here!

A smile a day

Every day I stumble across articles, pictures, blogs, videos, facts, songs, websites and other snippets of the wold wide web which make me think and smile. So I have decided to share them with you. Read them over your coffee, tea or orange juice and do the same, because smiling is good for you.

Today’s is a quote from Roald Dahl, The Twits. It’s a bit cheesy, like a lot of things on here… but I think it stands for a lot.

Roald Dahl is one of my favourite children’s authors, and while I love “The Twits” my favourite books is ‘Esio trot’, a story about a Tortoise!
